Les Amoureux

It may be dark and rainy out but in our hearts it is springtime in Paris, as thoughts turn to Valentines Day, what could be more romantic that this stunning triptych screen?

What would you rather wake up to a pile of dirty washing in the corner or a tiny street corner of one most romantic cities in the world?

Abandoned decades ago the screen was staple furnishing item in British homes up until the war. They were used, as we are suggesting, to mask messes and also to preserve modesty, provide privacy, define living areas, keep out draughts and act as a decorative item.

Voila - the screen is back with a vengeance.

Canvas stretched over wood: 180 x 120cm.

£150 from our East Dulwich Store; Roullier White, 125 Lordship Lane, London SE22 8HU
