Cats, and some breeds in particular, are especially prone to kidney disease. Whilst some causes of feline kidney failure can be congenital often it is acquired, to keep your cat's kidneys healthy as long as possible, and avoid unnecessary stress on ageing kidneys, make sure your cat always has plenty of fresh water, always make sure your cat has access to a garden or clean litter tray whenever your animal requires it.
