Today I will be wearing Illuminum Wild Tobacco 

It is two years next month since Illuminum launched internationally at Roullier White, so I am thrilled to be going along to the Illuminum Fragrance Lounge today for a buying review meeting. Illuminum’s White Gardenia Petals is Roullier White’s all time bestselling single fragrance and it continues to attract new devotees daily.

I am very excited to hear the company’s plans and get the opportunity to sample the whole range again in its entirety, something one rarely has the luxury of doing, even when one is surrounded by fragrances all day. 

Today I shall be wearing Illuminum Wild Tobacco, a wonderfully warm and slightly spicy concoction, evocative of a Gentleman’s Club of yesteryear but a modern with a very British twist, Wild Tobacco is the perfect scent for a morning in Mayfair.

To perk it up in the evening you can layer it with a spray of Illuminum Ginger Pear, the two fragrances perfectly complement each other.

Bâtard Folding Picnic Knife by Lamson & Goodnow

As author of The Best Bread Ever; Charles Van Over is expected to show everywhere up with an armful of bread. Whilst Charles enjoys breaking bread with friends; he does insist that the bread is properly sliced with a breadknife, not just ripped apart. The problem here is that bread knives are very long and with their serrated edges they are not the easiest of things to carry around. Charles wondered why a folding bread knife could not be produced and took his idea for a pocket bread knife to Lamson & Goodnow, American manufacturers of the LamsonSharp range. The Bâtard Folding Picnic knife is the result of this collaboration. At Roullier White we believe this may possibly be the best picnic knife ever made.
