Sunday Shopping: Peckham Market

Hurrah! Peckham Market returns to Bar Story this Sunday (noon until 9pm) and it promises to be bigger and better than ever.

With plans to run on the following weekends between now and Christmas;
September 15th & 29th,
October 13th & 27th (Halloween Special), November 10th & 24th,
December 8th & 15th and open from 12 noon until 9pm you are guaranteed a lot of Sunday fun.

Expect an eclectic mix of stall holders with lots of new and exciting vintage and designer collections, but above all expect the unexpected - which is what Peckham is all about. 

Peckham Market will be welcoming back A Drop of Honey Dew (beautiful, beautiful MCS (My Crazy Scrunchie) and Somnium Books and introducing new photographic and art supplies stalls to provide students with all their material needs for college. There will be artwork for sale from local artists and craftspeople. A wonderful opportunity to snap up an original piece directly from the maker.

Peckham Market's food offer will change each week, but you can be sure it will be tasty and plentiful.

In coming weeks Peckham Market will be teaming up with Blue Tit Salon, so you will be able to walk off with a complete new look. 

As the nights draw in there will be a free film screening - and don’t forget it is two for one cocktails during Bar Story’s 6pm to 7pm happy hour. An arthouse movie will show during happy hour, followed by a cult classic with popcorn after.

Bâtard Folding Picnic Knife by Lamson & Goodnow

As author of The Best Bread Ever; Charles Van Over is expected to show everywhere up with an armful of bread. Whilst Charles enjoys breaking bread with friends; he does insist that the bread is properly sliced with a breadknife, not just ripped apart. The problem here is that bread knives are very long and with their serrated edges they are not the easiest of things to carry around. Charles wondered why a folding bread knife could not be produced and took his idea for a pocket bread knife to Lamson & Goodnow, American manufacturers of the LamsonSharp range. The Bâtard Folding Picnic knife is the result of this collaboration. At Roullier White we believe this may possibly be the best picnic knife ever made.
