Roullier White Welcomes New Assistant Buyer: Jake Mills-Zivanovic

Roullier White is delighted to welcome a new member onto its very talented small and select team. Jake Mills-Zivanovic has recently returned from a spell in Australia both buying and selling men's fashion and we knew he was exactly what we were looking for as soon as he walked through our door and praised our Mrs White's products. Flattery will get you everywhere. 

Joking aside Jake's eye for detail and keen sense of style will be a real asset to our skill set and are lucky to have him join us. We are excited by his enthusiasm for British brands and UK manufactured goods and interested to see how this develops over the coming months and influences our lifestyle product selection.

As well as a rather sharp eye, Jake brings with him a very keen nose; an essential tool as we develop our collection of the largest selection of rare and luxury fragrances in the UK.

Jake will also play a vital role in developing our Mrs White range for the newly opened Japanese market working alongside our distributor and our overseas retailers.

Bâtard Folding Picnic Knife by Lamson & Goodnow

As author of The Best Bread Ever; Charles Van Over is expected to show everywhere up with an armful of bread. Whilst Charles enjoys breaking bread with friends; he does insist that the bread is properly sliced with a breadknife, not just ripped apart. The problem here is that bread knives are very long and with their serrated edges they are not the easiest of things to carry around. Charles wondered why a folding bread knife could not be produced and took his idea for a pocket bread knife to Lamson & Goodnow, American manufacturers of the LamsonSharp range. The Bâtard Folding Picnic knife is the result of this collaboration. At Roullier White we believe this may possibly be the best picnic knife ever made. The French word bâtard – and yes it does translate how you think it does – is a shorter and thicker type of baguette.
