FRAGRANCES FOR FASHION WEEK – UÈRMÌ COLLECTION


So Fashion Week season is upon us – we’ve got the look-at-me outfit, the ridiculously high shoes and oh-so-chic sunglasses even though its pretty damp and dreary here in London. What else could you possibly need to make a statement this fashion week?! Well UÈRMÌ (pronounced ‘wear me’) have the answer in the form of a perfume collection that embodies different fabrics. Yes thats right – you can now wear your favourite material in the form of a scent!

UÈRMÌ is a collection of luxury scents that combine fashion and fragrance. Based within the ideology that fragrance should not only encompass the sense of smell, but also touch and sight too, the concept has been created by Italian duo, Palmiro Peaquin and Aurora Carrara. They believe that the pleasure that beautiful fabrics can transmit to our sense of touch and sight, can be translated into scent. The 2015 Spring/Summer catwalks are awash with demin, suede and silk. UÈRMÌ fragrances bring these fabrics to life, adding another dimension to this season’s hottest trends. The new UÈRMÌ collection is realised by a trio of respected, Master Perfumers: Antoine Lie, Jean Jacques and Philippe Bousseton.

Denim

Denim is Edgy, sexy, rebellious and the more it’s worn, the better it looks. The practical, hardwearing and versatile fabric is boldly celebrated in this fragrance with Tuberose and notes of Pink Pepper, Neroli, Musk and Vanilla. Also included are notes of Ylang Ylang, Oak Moss, Patchouli and Amber.

Suede

Unmistakable in touch and scent, Suede is enjoying a well-deserved revival on the catwalks this season. Master perfumer, Antoine Lee has created an alluring cocktail of contrasts with this fragrance. Saffron and Plum blend with Leather, and Lily of the Valley combines with Incense and ‘Animalic Notes’ to form a scent that distinctly evokes the fascinating scent of suede.

Notes: Saffron, Plum, Muguet, Gayac, Incense, Deep Suede, Animalic notes and Leather.

Silk

A natural fabric beloved by both sexes; silk is smooth, soft and the most sensuous skin experience. This fragrance embodies the most gourmand scent from nature; Grapefruit, Dill, Tangerine and Lilac fuse with notes of Neroli, Cypress, Fig, Musk, Cedar wood and Iris to create a sensory experience that’s out of this world.

Notes: Grapefruit, Dill, Tangerine, Lilac, Neroli, Cypress, Fig Pulp, Musk, Cedar wood and Iris.

Velvet

Awakening memories of places and people past, Velvet’s tactile plushness oozes elegance. A fabric enjoyed by men and women alike, this fragrance finds its base in the unisex note of Vetiver. The strength in this scent is softened by notes of Sicilian Lemon, Elemi, Cardamom, Spearmint, Cedar wood and Patchouli.

Tweed

Rich in heritage, Tweed is a flexible fabric that is both traditional and contemporary, warm and textured. The scent is a balance of contrasts, opening with Black Pepper, which fuses with Violet Leaves Benzoin, Ambroxan and Dark Musk. The end result is a mysterious and unexpected pleasure.

Notes: Black Pepper, Violet Leaves, Benzoin, Ambroxan and Dark Musk.

Cashmere

Seek solace with the soft but strong Cashmere, luxurious, kitten-soft and eveloping. Nothing embodies this fabric more than Grey Amber, warm and mesmerising. Combine this with Bergamot, Olibanum, Jasmine, Osmanthus Vanilla and musk and you have the perfect recipe for an embrace in a bottle.

Notes: Bergamot, Olibanum, Jasmine, Osmanthus, Sandalwood, Grey Amber, Vanilla and Musk.

Latex


Not a fabric, Latex is a material simulated to feel like ‘liquid skin’. This fragrance is like wearing a second skin, using innovative notes such as Oxide and Aldehyde C12 L, the scent comes to life with a playful and provocative blend of Rose, Saffron and Vinyl Accord topped off with Ozanic Marine and Indol.

Bâtard Folding Picnic Knife by Lamson & Goodnow

As author of The Best Bread Ever; Charles Van Over is expected to show everywhere up with an armful of bread. Whilst Charles enjoys breaking bread with friends; he does insist that the bread is properly sliced with a breadknife, not just ripped apart. The problem here is that bread knives are very long and with their serrated edges they are not the easiest of things to carry around. Charles wondered why a folding bread knife could not be produced and took his idea for a pocket bread knife to Lamson & Goodnow, American manufacturers of the LamsonSharp range. The Bâtard Folding Picnic knife is the result of this collaboration. At Roullier White we believe this may possibly be the best picnic knife ever made.
