I am back to Rome, and I would like to thank you very much once again for the absolutely wonderful event last Thursday.

As I told you, I knew Roullier White would have been a very nice place, but what I saw was really beyond my expectations, so, really, congratulations for such a beautiful store.

And congratulations on such a wonderful event, which was fresh, cool, pleasant, well organised, all those so many things which one should never take for granted, and which when they are there, make for such s wonderful event as that of the other day.

A huge thank you to you, and to Mila, Matt, Magda for such a wonderful time spent together.

Sebastián Alvarez Murena was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to a family of writers, and lived in Spain and Switzerland before settling in Rome, where he has been living for the past 30 years. He is a journalist and an entrepreneur. Sebastián and his wife, Marina Sersale, are co-founders of Eau d'Italie, the perfume house created to celebrate their family hotel, Le Sirenuse, in Positano on the Amalfi Coast.

Bâtard Folding Picnic Knife by Lamson & Goodnow

As author of The Best Bread Ever; Charles Van Over is expected to show everywhere up with an armful of bread. Whilst Charles enjoys breaking bread with friends; he does insist that the bread is properly sliced with a breadknife, not just ripped apart. The problem here is that bread knives are very long and with their serrated edges they are not the easiest of things to carry around. Charles wondered why a folding bread knife could not be produced and took his idea for a pocket bread knife to Lamson & Goodnow, American manufacturers of the LamsonSharp range. The Bâtard Folding Picnic knife is the result of this collaboration. At Roullier White we believe this may possibly be the best picnic knife ever made.
