Today I'm Wearing: Autoportrait, by Olfactive Studio

Today I'm wearing Autoportrait by Olfactive Studio, a rich, resinous composition that is perfectly suited to chilly, autumnal weather. Olfactive Studio are among the most intriguing modern fragrance houses in our collection here at Roullier White, taking inspiration from the world of photography in constructing their fabulous scents. Focussing on the art of collaboration, founder Céline Verleure sought to bring together photographers and perfumers to create a new form of olfactory inspiration. With photography from Luc Lapôtre, Clémence René-Bazin, and Frédéric Lebain (among others), a series of celebrated noses were tasked with transforming their stunning compositions into winning olfactory formulas.

For Autoportrait, an image by Luc Lapôtre was transfigured into a warming, sensuous scent by nose Nathalie Lorson. Building from a light opening of fresh bergamot and the piney, herbacious resin of elemi, Autoportrait takes on sensational depth as the heart notes of smoky incense and full-bodied musks come together. In the base, a woody finale of cedar, vetiver, and oakmoss give the scent a luxurious dry down that enhances the hazy effect of the composition. Easily wearable and perfect for any occasion, Autoportrait is a fantastic all round scent for the season.
