Join us this week for an exclusive evening with Michael Boadi, the mind behind some of the greatest success stories in British fragrance. Born to Ghanaian parents in London in 1969, the fashion hair-stylist has worked with some of the world’s greatest photographers; Steven Klein, Mert Alas, Marcus Piggott, Burt Stern, Mario Testino and has styled the heads of Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen, Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Madonna, Björk and David Beckham. It was whilst rolling with the glitterati that Boadi developed his innate love of fragrance; jet-lagged nights in distant hotels were spent mixing rare oils and exotic resins he collected en route.

His first perfume house, Boadicea the Victorious, was launched in 2008 to great acclaim thanks to a blend of fine ingredients and exquisite packaging that marked the brand out as something special from the very beginning. 

From this, Michael went on to establish Illuminum, most famous for providing Kate Middleton's fragrance for her highly publicised wedding to Prince William in 2011. Other fans of the brand include Kanye West, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga, with new converts adopting the scents as their signature fragrance every day. 


Now, to mark the launch of Bohdidharma, his latest collection based on the ancient art of the Buddhist tea ceremony, Michael will be joining us for an exclusive evening to talk through his inspiration behind the range, and allow fans to experience the scents for the first time.

Bâtard Folding Picnic Knife by Lamson & Goodnow

As author of The Best Bread Ever; Charles Van Over is expected to show everywhere up with an armful of bread. Whilst Charles enjoys breaking bread with friends; he does insist that the bread is properly sliced with a breadknife, not just ripped apart. The problem here is that bread knives are very long and with their serrated edges they are not the easiest of things to carry around. Charles wondered why a folding bread knife could not be produced and took his idea for a pocket bread knife to Lamson & Goodnow, American manufacturers of the LamsonSharp range.
